Meet at Longmire then travel together to the TH.
Snow II Field Trip for Tacoma Alpine Scrambles students. Students will be tested on the following: 1. Ice axe (parts and how to carry) 2. Moving in balance – Turning in balance 3. Ice Axe Self Belay 4. Kicking steps - Snow Travel in Groups 5. Rest step 6. Plunge stepping 7. Sidehill traversing on steep slopes 8. Ice Axe Arrest - sitting, face down, upside down on back (all with and without pack). Meet at the parking lot at Longmire at 0730 Saturday morning, boots on ready to go.
