Meet at Longmire visitor center. Meeting time to be discussed at preceding lecture.

Snow II Field Trip for Tacoma Alpine Scrambles students. Students will be tested on the following: 1. Ice axe (parts and how to carry) 2. Moving in balance – Turning in balance 3. Ice Axe Self Belay 4. Kicking steps - Snow Travel in Groups 5. Rest step 6. Plunge stepping 7. Sidehill traversing on steep slopes 8. Ice Axe Arrest - sitting, face down, upside down on back (all with and without pack). Meet at the parking lot at Longmire at 0730 Saturday morning, boots on ready to go.

This trip is not open to people outside the scrambles class.
