CANCELED - Yoga Conditioning for Paddlers

The session will cover a routine not only strengthen your core but also assist with your adventurous, repetitive motion paddling endeavors (e.g. sea kayaking, canoeing, stand-up-paddle boarding), whether here or elsewhere! These poses are intended to be accessible for all flexibility levels and possibly to help you gain more flexibility over time. You can do this routine before and/or after your activity.
You will learn in this session that yoga is about moving with awareness, so you get a mind-body connection that will be beneficial to your paddling. Also, moving with more awareness can improve your body’s function and help you heal up some old injuries. Yoga improves your breathing, so when you hit the water again in the spring, you won’t feel as winded. Yoga exercises are not isolated to one area of the body they both strengthen and stretch the muscles of the whole body.
