Mountain Mahila Screening

Screening of Mountain Mahilia documentary film.

Three women from the Seattle Mountaineers plan a climbing expedition to the Himalayas with a goal of summiting Ama Dablam, a 22,349-foot mountain of steep ice, snow, rock and freezing temperatures. Adding to the challenge they also decided to make a documentary, hoping to inspire others to follow their dreams. Through fundraising they sponsor an early career female climbing Sherpa to partake in their adventure, furthering her career and helping her to break into the male-dominated climbing industry in Nepal.

After surviving cancer and the complexities of losing friends to the mountains, they embark on a journey that proves more challenging than they expected…
