Introduction to Trail Running: Backcountry

Introduction to Trail Running: Backcountry

Learn how to get started with wilderness trail running. Go farther and faster in the backcountry safely.

The Foothills Branch Trail Running Committee is proud to launch the very first offering of its brand new Introduction to Trail Running: Backcountry course!

This course is ideal for outdoor recreation enthusiasts who wish to discover trail running and runners who wish to take their trail running to the next level.

This session kicks off the course and will include a backcountry gear overview and topics such as the skills, gear, and resources needed to plan wilderness trail running routes and safely run on more remote backcountry trails.

A series of group trail runs that offer experiential hands-on learning at various locations is the other component of this course.
