Following Alpine Rock - Skill Practice Night

Investing in our instructors for the upcoming year: A night for anyone involved in the 2023 Following Alpine Rock course to refresh old skills and maybe learn some new ones.

If it's dry outside, I'd like to use the South Plaza climbing wall by headlamp, with students doing whatever they feel ready for from this list:

• Just get laps on top-rope
• Do a mock-lead to prepare for eventually leading on bolts
• lead on bolts
• practice the clean & lower sequence

If we can't be outside, we can do different skills in the basement instead:

• rigging various types of anchors
• review belay escape or crevasse rescue
• get into some more advanced rescue methods, raising & lowering systems
