WHERE TO GO, WHAT TO DO, AND WHY YOU SHOULD CARE 
Saturday, November 15, 2-5pm | REI Flagship store in downtown Seattle

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act, the landmark conservation bill that created a way for us to protect our most pristine wild lands for future generations, and learn how you can get involved with issues facing these wild places in your backyard.

Breakout sessions will focus on Wilderness areas in the Olympic Peninsula and the Cascades from I-90 north. Hear from experts on their favorite places to go, and what you should know about getting out in Wilderness

Speakers include 

  • Jim Whittaker,  internationally renowned mountaineer, adventurer and environmentalist
  • Martha Kongsgaardregional environmentalist and advocate
  • Juan Martinez, youth in the outdoors advocate who got his start here in the PNW
