Seattle Snowshoe Winter Camping Lecture

Seattle Snowshoe Winter Camping Lecture

Winter Camping Course is designed for Mountaineers members who want to make the most of winter by knowing how to comfortably camp overnight in the snow.

Students learn about appropriate gear, how to stay warm and dry, and how to identify safe campsites. On the field trip we set up tent campsites, but the focus is to build and stay overnight in a snow cave. And to have fun doing it!

The Winter Camping course has a single lecture at the Mountaineers Program Center, and a single field trip that takes place overnight at Mount Baker.
