All PNW Canyoners (Vancouver, you're invited too!) are invited to come play on ropes, reconnect with canyon buddies, meet new canyon friends, and celebrate an outstanding year of canyoning in the PNW! Experienced canyoners, aspiring canyoners, and everyone in between are invited. Feel free to bring family (little ones welcome but we won't have anything that is specifically kid-friendly)
Please RSVP on this site (you will have to register for a "free guest membership" if you don't already have a log-in)
Note: Burger purchasing happens Saturday morning so as long as you RSVP by Friday night, we'll have food for you! Veggie/Vegan burgers too, of course. (we will not have GF buns so please BYO if you prefer)
What to expect:
- Canyon ropes everywhere: practice your knots, learn new tricks, ascend/descend... there may even be some just-for-fun competitions (speed knot tying anyone?)
- Looping slide show of our amazing canyons from this summer!
- Door prizes! You might win a water filter, a backpack, a book, a carabiner, a fiddlestick, a scuttlebutt, a roll of duct tape... who knows!
- Free beer! and some non-alcoholic beverages, too (BYO water bottle)
- Pot luck dinner, with a program celebrating the many accomplishments and adventures in our canyoning community this year
- Lots of excellent people
What to bring:
- your canyon gear (you can skip the wet suit unless you really want to wear it)
- something delicious for the pot luck
- plate/bowl/utensils (not required - we'll have plenty of disposable eating supplies - but encouraged to show some love to the planet!)
FIRST NAME A-G: bring an appetizer
FIRST NAME H-Q: bring a side dish for the main meal
FIRST NAME R-Z: bring dessert
Note that we do have a microwave, as well as outlets for crock pots, but no oven for reheating
- ugly sweater/ridiculous holiday gear (optional but encouraged!)

3-3:30pm: arrive & get your gear out
3:30pm: introductions
3:45- 6pm(ish): skills practice aka playing with ropes! (while snacking on appetizers)
6pm: fire up the grill and get the potluck going!
6:45pm(ish): presentation of the year's accomplishments
7:30pm(ish): door prize raffle!
7:45pm(ish): socialize, make canyon plans, reconnect with friends, connect with new friends
Note that this will be a dry event while ropes are out, and once the beers come out with dinner, we'll ask everyone to stay on the ground for the rest of the evening - safety first!
