Course will not be in the standard two-day, in-person format at the Mountaineers. It will be a hybrid course.
The COVID adapted format will be as follows:
Group A - complete the CPR and Medical Review Modules on line (approx 2 to 3 hours)
Mon Feb 1 - Virtual 6 to 9 pm
Wed Feb 3 - Virtual 6 to 9pm
Sat Feb 6 - All day in-person
Group B - complete the CPR and Medical Review Modules on line (approx 2 to 3 hours)
Tues Feb 2 - Virtual 6 to 9 pm
Thur Feb 4 - Virtual 6 to 9pm
Sun Feb 7 - All day in-person
Wilderness First Aid is a national certification that Outdoor Educators and Guides renew every two years. This course is offered specifically for teenagers who spend time outdoors or want to pursue Outdoor Education.
Learn First Aid for: Hiking, Rock Climbing, Mountaineering, XC Skiing, Rafting, Snowshoeing, Camping, Kayaking
WFA badge is a prerequisite for MAC backpacking, back country skiing, alpine rock, and glacier climbs.
Scenario night requirements will be waived.
