Summer Camp - Wilderness Discovery Week

Wilderness Discovery

 Become an adventurer like Jane Goodall! she has worked extensively on conservation and animal welfare issues and has the foremost knowledge of chimpanzees based on a 55-year study of family relationships.  Share your extensive knowledge of animals and their habitats with us for Wilderness Discovery Week!

Campers will have a chance to try climbing, hiking, naturalist activities, outdoor cooking and more. This week will include fun games and activities, an earth stewardship component, and outdoor skills development: all led by skilled instructors.

During Wilderness Discovery week, camp will take a field trip to Alderleaf Wilderness College. Alderleaf offers courses on wilderness survival, wild edible & medicinal plants, permaculture, wildlife tracking, and outdoor education in the Pacific Northwest. Field trip activities will be tailored to age appropriate skills and exploration. Summer camp will also be visited by some special animal ambassadors from the Sarvey Wildlife Rehabilitators and the Humane Society of Seattle.

The camp day runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Drop off starts at 8:45 am and pick up begins at 3:50 pm.  We are offering extended care this year.  For extended care: drop off anytime between 7:45 - 8:45 am (except Mondays) and pick up anytime between 4:00- 5:30.
