Youth Program

Summer Camp - Baker Lodge Teen Week

Join the Mountaineers camp staff for a four day campout in the North Cascades!

Update (5/26/2021): Due to reopening restrictions we will be unable to stay at Baker Lodge during 2021. Instead, we will camp together at Colonial Creek Campground and explore the North Cascades!

Join the Mountaineers for a 4 day adventure camp based at Colonial Creek Campground on the edge of North Cascades National Park.  This camp is open to kids ages 10-14 and includes transportation, food, and skills lessons up on the mountain.

We will meet at 9 am at the Seattle Program Center to triple check our bags, pack the vehicles, play some team builders, and get on the road. We should arrive at camp right in time for lunch!  Once we are all feeling ready and settled we can start adventuring.

Wednesday and Thursday will be filled with hiking and outdoor exploration, right out the front door of the lodge! We will learn about leave no trace, navigation, and various outdoor skills in the field. Most of all, we will have fun getting to know this stunning region of the North Cascades.

Friday we will have our last breakfast together, pack up and hit the road.  once we make it back to the program center we will sort all our gear and weather permitting go swimming or climbing.  Pickup is at 3 pm on Friday.  See you there!

Logistics:

  • Registration opens February 1
  • Drop off: 9am on Tuesday
  • Pick up: is 3pm on Friday
