Day Hike - Heybrook Lookout & Ridge

Monday day hike to Heybrook Lookout.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)
  • Mileage: 2.6 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 850 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 1,700 ft

The Mountaineers Seattle Program Center at 9am.

Heybrook Lookout is a short and moderately steep hike through a deep green forest to an exciting wooden lookout with views of the surrounding valley. We'll look for Mount Persis, Mount Baring, and Bridal Veil Falls. This lookout was built in 1925 with the latest improvements being done by the Everett Mountaineers!

Schedule for the day:

  • Check-in at 9am. Please be on time so we can load the cars as soon as possible and get on our way.
  • Drive to the Heybrook Lookout trailhead.
  • Hike through beautiful forests, guided by Mountaineers camp staff.
  • Lunch at the top and enjoy the views from the lookout.
  • Walk back down, learning about leave no trace.
  • Drive back to the Mountaineers in time for check out at 4pm
