Mountaineers Program Center, 9am
Parents only skills workshop. This is for parents who want to learn how to set up top rope climbing outside. In order for this lesson to run smoothly, it will be necessary to leave Pioneers at home.
The morning (9am-12pm) will focus on building safe top rope anchors and rappelling, in the context of setting up a crag for top roping, where access to the anchors of the climb is possible without having to lead climb. This is the minimum requirement for this workshop, the afternoon is not required.
The afternoon (12pm-3pm) will focus on lead climbing for those parents interested in learning more skills, which can be used to set up any crag for top roping.
