Attendance at the Pioneers meeting for April is strongly encouraged for this field trip. At the meeting we will review the basics of navigation. At the field trip, we will spend the first part of the day further reviewing navigation and then we will spend about 1/2 a day following a simple orienteering course.  We will take bearings using compasses and land features to navigate to pre-selected locations, where clues will be found that indicate the next stop.
