Seattle Nomads Camping & Climbing Trip - Mount Erie

Join us for a weekend of car camping around Mt. Erie!

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)
  • Saturday (Apr 16) 8:00AM: Meet at Mt Erie upper/main parking lot
  • Sunday by 4PM: Head home from pod activity (possibly earlier)

The Nomads will spend the weekend car camping and climbing at Mt. Erie!

  • Guests: If spots are still available one week prior to the trip, email Katy to request that a friend or sibling be able to join.

CLIMBING GEAR CHECKOUT:

  • Thurs 4/7, afternoon, by appt
  • Fri 4/8, morning, by appt

CLIMBING GEAR RETURN:

  • Wed 4/20, afternoon, or during Pathfinders/Nomads meeting 6-8pm

CLOTHES: PACK FOR WARM and potentially wet CONDITIONS DURING THE DAY

  • Clothes for adventuring during the day (layers)
    • Clothes for at camp in the evening (slightly warmer because it’ll cool down in the evening)
  • Sun Protection: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, sun shirt, etc.
  • Day pack
  • Hiking Boots
  • Camp Shoes (optional) 

CAMPING ITEMS:

  • Personal mess kit including: plate/bowl, utensils, cup
  • Camp chair
  • Tent (can be borrowed from the Mountaineers with advance notice)
  • Sleeping bag/pad (can be borrowed from the Mountaineers with advance notice)
  • Pillow (we’re car camping; might as well be comfy!)
  • Toiletries (restrooms available at campsite)
  • Headlamp/flashlight with extra batteries
  • Face mask(s)
  • Hand Sanitizer

FOOD FOR YOURSELF/FAMILY (OR GROUP MEALS): 

    • Breakfast: (x1)
    • Lunch: (x2)
    • Dinner: (x1)
    • Snacks: enough for both Saturday and Sunday
  • Water: 2 liters per person per day minimum
