Seattle MAC - Snow 2 Field Trip - Mount Baker Recreation Area
This is the 2nd snow skills field trip covering more advanced glacier travel techniques including rope teams, crevasse safety / navigation / rescue / raising systems, objective hazard and situational awareness, team dynamics, etc. This trip has prerequisites.

Trip will depart Friday evening, camp at trailhead, get an early start on the day Saturday.

Prerequisites: Crevasse rescue skills workshop and Snow 1 field trip.
Along with the prerequisites, this field trip will prepare participants to tackle the glaciated peaks of the Cascades such as Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier, Crystal Mtn, and others. Note that participation in these field trips does guarantee eligibility for alpine and/or glacier climbs but is a basic requirement. Eligibility will be determined on a case by case basis.
