Seattle MAC - Conditioning Hike - Kendall Katwalk

A conditioning hike to help prepare and train for backpack trips, longer backpack trips, glacier climbs, alpine rock climbs, etc. Interested students are encouraged to plan out the details of the hike and write them up in the trip sheet. Staff/volunteers will not be planning this trip - it's on the students!

Carpool

Meet at Mountaineers to carpool.  Depart @ 7:30a.  Arrive at trailhead @ 8:30a.  Turnaround time 1p.  Return to Mountaineers 6p.

Guests: If spots are still available one week prior to the trip, email the adult trip leader to request that a friend or sibling be able to join.

Parking pass: Northwest Forest Pass

There are toilets at the trailhead.

Bring your own lunch, snacks, and water.  If we make good time on the trail, we will try to stop for ice cream or similar on the way home.  We will not stop for breakfast or dinner.

I don't expect snow to be an issue.  If we encounter snow that requires microspikes, we will turn around.
