Tentative Plan: The group will depart Friday evening to camp at Wanapum State Park in order to get a full day of climbing on Saturday. Climbing will conclude in the early to mid-afternoon on Sunday and everyone will be back to Seattle between 5-8pm.

Land Acknowledgement: We will be recreating on the lands of the Pacific Northwest Indian Tribes , including the Yakama, who live here and steward these lands and waters as they have since time immemorial.

Registration:

MAC students may register for ONE overnight climbing trip per month at first. When within 1 week of the trip, if spots remain, students may register for an additional trip. So pick this one or Tieton, but not both, until we're sure everyone has had a chance to join an overnight climbing trip.

To indicate you have read and understand these terms, request leader's permission and state that you have read this entire activity page including Meeting Place & Time, Leader's Notes, and Required Equipment, and to signify that you will read the Trip Sheet when it is published within two weeks of the trip.

This trip will be suitable for MAC students most excited about sport climbing, or who may be newer to climbing.

Prerequisites:

For spring-summer climbing trips: Attendance at all climbing workshops up to and including Anchors/Cleaning Routes and competence with lead belaying, lead climbing on bolts, anchors, and cleaning routes. Lead belaying badge (there is no "lead climbing" badge). The lead belaying badge signifies competence with the complete skill of lead climbing on bolts.  "Clean & Lower Badge", which signifies competence with building top rope anchors for bolted climbs and retrieving them when done climbing.
