Seattle MAC - Climbing Trip - Tieton River: Royal Columns

MAC's second climbing trip of the year, where new members will put new belay skills to use and returning members get lots of practice leading and cleaning. This will be for Pod B (actual pod TBD)

Group will depart Friday afternoon/evening to get camping and get an early start for climbing on Saturday. Trip sheet and full details will be released within two weeks of the trip. 

COVID-19 Precautions will be taken according to the Phase/Guidance in place at the time. 

We will not be staying in a group site, instead "pods" will be staying in separate individual sites to avoid exposure between the whole group. 

All participants will wear face masks when within 6' of each other and carry hand sanitizer/soap. 

Other COVID-19 precautions will be reviewed before and during the trip.

  • Climbing shoes
  • Harness that fits over the clothing you climb in
  • Helmet
  • Belay device
  • Backpack or bag that holds all of your gear
  • Small duffel bag for overnight gear
  • Sleeping bag
  • Sleeping pad
  • Pack cover or plastic bag for water repellence
  • Wool/synthetic socks (minimum of three pairs)
  • Boots (worn in with sturdy tread, seams, and laces)
  • Shorts (synthetic)
  • T-shirt (avoid cotton and save one for the ride home)
