Seattle MAC - Climbing Trip - Exit 32

Phase 2 Trip - Will be focused on practicing leading on bolts on easy routes, lead belaying, and some basic trad practice involving cleaning gear and mock leading.

See trip sheet for details. Plan on meeting at 8am at the Little Si trailhead parking lot in North Bend. 

Participants must have attended at least two lead climbing workshops and have passed the lead climbing test / received their lead climbing badge. Exceptions will be made for kick-off trips early in the year where new members with limited climbing experience will be welcomed.

Required Equipment

All participants must bring a face covering and personal hand sanitizer in addition to the following individual gear:

  • Rock climbing shoes**
  • Harness **
  • Helmet**
  • Belay Device / Carabiner**
  • Shorts or comfortable pants
  • Hiking boots or sturdy shoes
  • Layers appropriate for weather (check weather for North Bend)
  • Water (at least 2L)
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat with brim
  • Bandana or buff
  • Lunch
  • Day Pack
  • Camera (optional)

Group Gear:

  • 3x Ropes / rope bags
  • 18x Quickdraws
  • 2x Anchor kits
