Backcountry skiing or snowboarding is a great way to enjoy the mountains in the wintertime! Snowshoe or skin up a mountain with us, then enjoy some incredible skiing or snowboarding downhill!
This is an advanced trip. Please read the requirements carefully before signing up!
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience resort skiing
- Ability to "survival ski" on any terrain in the resort- meaning you can confidently ski blue runs in ANY conditions, and be able to ski blacks in reasonable conditions. You need to be a confident skier to come on this trip.'
- "Survival skiing" is making it down the hill if you're in over your head. Whether you side-ski down, ski one turn at a time, or whatever, you've gotta be able to get down without holding up the group too much.
- If you're not confident on blacks you might have a bad time
- Experience walking uphill in skis with skins on is not required, but preferred.
- Students with more experience skinning will be in the 1st group, and students with less experience will be in the 2nd group.
