Latino Outdoors joins Mountaineers instructors for a weekend spent backpacking throughout Baker Lake located in the North Cascades. This is a beginner friendly hike offering beautiful views of the old growth forest and Mt. Baker.

Latino Outdoors is a non-profit whose vision is  "A world where all Latino communities enjoy nature as a safe, inclusive, and welcoming place – a world where the outdoors is a place to share and celebrate stories, knowledge, and culture, while growing leadership and an active community of Latino outdoor users, mentors, and stewards."

Latino Outdoors will meet Mountaineers instructors at the Seattle Program Center at 9 am on 7/12.  We will spend the morning divvying out gear to folks, and gathering a basic understanding of following on a backpacking trip.  

We will spend 07/12 - 07/14 backpacking to Maple Grove campground.
