A chance for Explorers families to come in to the Mountaineers to learn to belay, tie a figure 8 knot, catch falls, and other basic climbing techniques. Those who are ready may move on to rappelling. 9-11:30am

The Mountaineers, 9am-11:30am
Assuming everyone is feeling solid with belaying, this lesson will focus on rappelling.
We will do a demonstration of rappelling, and then weather permitting, will move to the outside walls to practice rappelling. If everyone is doing a good job, we will set up a rappel off the roof of the building to cap off the day.
