Youth activity: Junior MAC
Seattle Junior MAC Hike - Middle Fork Snoqualmie River
Our hike along the Middle Fork Snoqualmie starts at the Middle Fork Trailhead. Cross the bridge over the river and follow the trail along river, through the woods, past the 2,000-foot tall, granite Stegosaurus Butte, along an old railroad bed and back down to the river's edge at the 3 mile mark. We will continue 2 more miles to reach a spectacular bridge and creek with a stunning view of Cripple Creek Falls. The hike is approximately 10 miles round trip with 300 feet elevation gain.

Brief description: While many river hikes spend most of the time shrouded in trees, this hike along the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River opens up to good views of Mount Garfield and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness along the way. This is a gently graded trail with modest elevation gain, and a total distance of approximately 10 miles. Hiking time should be 5-6 hours, depending on pace of group.
