Seattle Snowshoe Instructor Training - Seattle - 2018

Snowshoeing & Outdoor Leadership Course

Seattle Snowshoe Instructor Training - Seattle

This weekend of activities equips new volunteers with training to help teach winter travel and safety skills to our enthusiastic students and to navigate the snowshoe trip leadership process.

We have designed this training to help give you the confidence to step forward and volunteer for the Seattle Branch Snowshoeing Program.

Note for new volunteers: It is not necessary that you believe that you are a full-on expert in all of the skills we teach on the field trips. All new instructors will be paired with an experienced instructor who has taught at the field trip before.  You will not be on your own!

Schedule of activities

If you wish to stay overnight at Stevens Lodge for Friday and / or Saturday evening, the committee will reimburse you for the lodging costs.
