This lecture helps the students to understand the basics of avalanche, interpret avalanche forecast and gather more accurate weather information, and estimate route conditions beforehand. The participants will be provided to go through an asynchronous online tutorial before the first lecture to maximize the use of our time and make the session more interactive. The time commitment for the pre-lecture tutorial is not more than a few hours and it will be shared a week in advance.
