Intermediate Cross-Country (Classic) Skiing - PM

A three-week course for classic cross-country skiers wanting to improve their technique and learn to climb hills.

Are you a graduate of the Introduction to Cross-Country Skiing course and want to learn more? Are you an experienced Nordic skier who hasn’t taken a lesson in a while and wants to brush up on your technique?

This three-week course is designed to help you ski confidently with grace and style on more challenging terrain. It is taught by knowledgeable and friendly PSIA-certified instructors on groomed trails. You will refine your balance, glide, timing, rhythm, and power. Completion of the intermediate cross-country ski class provides the skill and confidence for skiing intermediate level and beyond groomed ski trails as well as the core basics for venturing off trail.

Prerequisites: Seattle Mountaineers Intro to Cross-Country Skiing Course or equivalent classic cross-country skiing experience. 

When: This class is offered at multiple times. Check the time carefully to make sure you are registering for the correct class!

  • Jan 28, 12:30-2:30pm

If one of the field trips needs to be cancelled due to poor conditions, there is a make up class scheduled on Feb 4 from 12:30-2:30.

Where: Classes are held at the Sno Parks, east of Snoqualmie Pass. (See the required equipment list for a link to purchase the required groomed snow-park permit.)

Cancellations after 12/22 will incur a $15 fee.
