If you ski in Cascades, learning to have fun on hills is a must!
This one-day clinic is focused exclusively on hills: how to get up them, how to ski down them, how to adapt your technique to them, and how to control your skis on them. It is taught by knowledgeable and friendly PSIA-certified instructors on groomed trails. Completion of the course prepares you to confidently ski on intermediate and advanced groomed trails and easy off-piste terrain.
Prerequisites: Seattle Mountaineers Intro to XC Skiing Course or equivalent classic cross-country skiing experience.
When: Jan 8, 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Where: Classes are held at the Sno Parks, east of Snoqualmie Pass. (See the required equipment list for a link to purchase the required groomed snow-park permit.)
This course has no scheduled activities.
- Classic cross-country skis, boots & poles
- Clothing suitable for aerobic winter activities
- Groomed sno-park permit - one per vehicle
- Optional: fanny pack or small hydration pack with water and snacks
