  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 5.0 nm
  • Pace: 3.7

Meet at Waterway 18 at 2:00 for 2:15 launch.  Off the water  by 4:15pm

Waterway 18 is a small pocket park NE of gasworks and a short distance south of the Sunnyside boat ramp.  Park on the grave strip north of the road.

We will paddle a loop around Lake Union and into Portage Bay.  Along the middle stretch, we will work on some High Intensity Interval Training by doing short sprints.

Conditioning series events are intended to get people out on the water to develop strength and endurance.  A secondary goal is to offer regular outings, particularly through the winter.

The venue may be any location.  However, paddles that are lower overhead - less travel, simpler logistics - will facilitate regular participation by people in Seattle.

The main focus is steady forward paddling.
