Meet at Concreet beach in time get ready for 8am launch.
Get together with other kayakers to practice rolling. This is suitable for people who already have a kayak roll and want to improve. Participants will be responsible for self-recovery from missed rolls. I plan to practice in water that is shallow enough to stand so that recover is fairly easy.
We will paddle out to Magnuson Park to find water that is deep enough to roll in and shallow enough to stand in. We will have up to 2 hours to practice rolling. Expect to be back on shore by 10:45am
To provide revenue to the mountaineers I'm charging $20 for this short clinic. If finances would prevent you from joining this clinic please contact me and I'll wave the fee.
Required Equipment
It is summer, warm water, so dry suites are not required. Wear what will keep you comfortable during the practice.
I suggest brining nose plugs, goggles or mask, and ear plugs. What ever you need to feel confident rolling. Some near by beaches are closed due to contamination.
