Meet at Cornet Bay at 8:00 AM

Please see the additional Required Equipment besides your kayak and the usual gear for a day paddle. 

We will measure your paddling speed, and predict the time when we arrive at certain destinations. 

We will learn how to associate the features in the chart with the actual landscape.

We will navigate using compass bearing and learn how to compensate the effect of current and wind to set the heading. 

We will learn to navigate using transit(ranges).

VHF exercise, call VTS before crossing a ship lane.
