Meet at Tibbetts Beach, Lake Sammamish State Park at 8:00 AM
Directions:
From I-90 Eastbound take exit 15 to SR900 – 17th Av NW
- At the bottom of the offramp, turn Left towards Lake Sammamish
- At the 'Y' at NW Sammamish Road turn Left
- Turn right into Lake Sammamish State Park (0.4mi)
- About 200ft past the Entrance Station, turn Left into the large parking lot
- Drive to the far end of the parking lot nearest the lake and park
Leader Notes: This activity is only open to individuals who register for the Seattle Sea Kayaking Basics course. If you are enrolled in this course, you must also register for the Open Water Skills sessions offered. The session runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Be prepared to get wet and have fun!
There will be additional cost of renting kayak and/or dry suit from Kayak Academy if you do not own one.
- Kayak Package includes: Kayak, paddle, spray skirt, bilge pump, paddle float, and a sponge (for drying hatches at the end of the day), for $63.
- Dry Suit Package includes: Dry Suit, booties, and hood: for $37, (does not include neoprene gloves, you may wish to purchase some before the Lake Session).
