Online.  The lecture will start at 7.  Please hold 7-9 pm for the lecture.  You are welcome to join the Zoom meeting at 6:45 if you would like to chat with other students.  Directions to log on to the meeting will be sent before the beginning of the class.

This lecture will focus first on the key characteristics that top birders use to identify specie: size and shape, color patterns, habitat, behaviors, and songs. We will then look at the 25 to 30 species that are most likely to be seen from your house or in your immediate neighborhood. We will emphasize songs as a way of detecting them.
