Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series
CHS - Coast Cleanup Weekend - Pyramid Mountain
This hike is part of the Coast Cleanup Weekend and is an ptional Sunday hike before heading home. CHS hike led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-3.0 mph). We'll hike up Pyramid Mountain for superb views out over Lake Crescent and the surrounding hills. The trailhead is located fairly close to Naturebridge so it'll be nice and easy for us to get going Sunday morning. Also WTA was here!! Recent work over the past year took care of a trail washout, along with clearing blowdowns, overhanging brush and overall just doing awesome trail improvement work.

Let's meet at 8:00AM (right after breakfast) in the parking lot of the NatureBridge Cabins for the short carpool to the trailhead.
This is a pretty straightforward out and back hike. It will be a bit tough on the legs and lungs with 2,400' elevation gain but well worth the effort as we will top out with some great views of the Lake Crescent Basin. There's an old fire lookout structure up top as well. There will be a short landslide area we will need to negotiate about 2 miles into the hike.
