This is a beautiful loop hike that I did last year in the opposite direction. This year I am ending us by the lakes so that we can jump in and refresh ourselves before getting back to the cars and driving home. There is an incredible view from the top of Tumac where you can see all around. We even follow a part of the PCT, which is always fun, because people are getting near the end of their long journey and are often in rough shape - but enduring.
Bring bug spray.
