CHS 2 Hike - Talus Loop via Teneriffe Trailhead

A totally different way to approach Mt Si!! This is a loop hike where we will approach and summit Mt Si from the East via the Teneriffe/Mt Si Connector Trail. We’ll then head down the Mt Si trail and finish via the Talus Loop Trail. CHS hike led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-3.0 mph)

  • Very Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,400 ft
  • Pace: 2.0-3.0 mph

Let's all meet at 8:00am the Mt Teneriffe Trailhead parking lot.  This is about a half mile past the Mt Si Trailhead parking lot.  Google Maps knows it as "Mount Teneriffe Trailhead."  Discover pass required.  We strongly encourage carpooling and we are very willing to pick up anyone at Eastgate Park and Ride to ride with us. Please consider carpooling with folks that may live near you. You can communicate with fellow hikers after you receive our "hello hiker" email.

This is a somewhat burly hike with a total elevation gain of around 3,400'. It's a steady upward grade until we get to the Mt Si connector trail. There's a good possibility of packed snow on trail as we get higher up and we suggest having micro-spikes and poles packed and available for this hike.
