We will be meeting at the Preston Park and Ride at 8:30am.  I will be encouraging others to carpool from further distances to the park and ride.

The trail starts off of Wenas Road and follows the Black Canyon Rd up to the ridgeline.  We will do a lollypop loop down past Rattler Benchmark.  There is not a good Green Trails map, so I recommend going to CalTopo and searching for Wenas, WA.  Scroll a bit to the right and you will see where Black Canyon Rd meets up with Wenas Rd.

This is a very open trail, so be sure to bring sunscreen and a parasol if you like (I always carry one - but it can get windy up on the ridge).

Discover Pass is needed, so if you have one, bring it with you in case you end up being a driver.

After the hike, we will head to the Ellensburg Pasta Company and grab some lunch.
