We will meet at 8:30 AM at the trailhead, located at Exit 38 West off I-90 just east of North Bend. Go right at the end of the exit ramp, travel a very short distance on old US Hwy 10, and take another right to the Upper Twin Fall Trailhead parking lot. Travel time from Seattle is about 45 minutes.

Our route will consist of a combination of old steep logging roads (some of Dirty Harry's work from the 1950s or so) and the upper new trail (built in 2007) up and back. Portions of the trail are steep and rocky, so over the ankle boots are recommended. Snow may be found near the top so poles and traction devices are also recommended.
