CHS 2 Hike - Marmot Pass & Buckhorn Mountain

Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series

CHS 2 Hike - Marmot Pass & Buckhorn Mountain

CHS hike led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-3.0 mph). Craig Romano says that this is one of the best hikes in Washington, especially around wildflower season. From its start in towering old-growth along the tumbling Quilcene River, to enchanting alpine meadows carpeted with a colorful palette of wildflowers, to the frequent marmot sightings for which the pass is named, this route is indeed a hiker's dream.
