Northwest Forest Pass required.

There will be a short river crossing about 2.5 - 3 miles into the hike. A connector bridge is out. I have previewed the crossing several times  in recent weeks. High snow levels and high water prompted me to cancel this hike previously. I comfortably crossed this past week, 6/16. The water level will continue to lower by July 11, so, the crossing may be a non-problem by then. That said: you should be comfortable with the idea of walking through a distance of up to 10 feet (no, not 10 feet deep, up to my knees 18 inches -ish deep) of moving water or trying to cross on floating logs with a rope assist.

You should have some water shoes, or old sneakers you can sacrifice to the wet, towel to dry, change of socks, poles for stability. Again, this may be a non issue by the time of the actual hike, but I am unable to check it out again.

This a beautiful, gentle trail. Its been full of wildlife and one of my favorite places to go. I look forward to sharing it with you.
