CHS 2 Hike - Colchuck Lake

Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series

CHS 2 Hike - Colchuck Lake

Two for the price of one! We'll hike to picturesque Stuart & Colchuck Lakes in the Enchantments area. This trail winds through a lodgepole pine forest alongside Mountaineer Creek. We'll steadily climb to these alpine lakes which are set in granite cliffs under the towering crags of the surrounding peaks. Don't forget your camera! CHS hike led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-3.0 mph).

  • Mileage: 12.8 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,800 ft
  • Pace: 2.0-3.0 mph

We'll meet at the Brickyard Park and Ride at 6:30AM 15530 Juanita Woodinville Way NE, Bothell, WA 98011. The Park and Ride is just South of SR522 off of I-405 exit 22 (both ways).

Parking at the trailhead is limited. So we'll consolidate to 2 cars and do the (roughly) 105 mile drive via SR522 to the Stuart Lake trailhead. I will be driving.  We'll need 1 more driver and car (that comfortably fits 4 people plus backpacks!). Please let me know if you're willing to drive.

Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass is required.

No special equipment or skills are required.
