Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series
CHS 1 Hike - Tubal Cain Mine, Buckhorn Lake & Marmot Pass
We'll start at the Tubal Cain trailhead and hike past Buckhorn Mountain to Marmot Pass and out to the Quilcene trailhead, stopping midway to enjoy lunch and exchange keys with a CHS 2 group coming from the other direction. Author Craig Romano states that if you can only do one Olympics hike in your lifetime, the hike over Marmot Pass is the one to do! CHS 1 hike led at a pace of 1.5-2.0 mph.
