CHS 1 Hike - Tronsen Ridge

Views to Mission Ridge, the Stuart Range, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker. An excellent wildflower walk with flowers appearing with snowmelt. CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph).

  • Pace: 1.5-2.0 mph

Departure Time: 6:30 am

Depart Place: Tibbetts Valley Park parking lot located across Newport Way (south) from the Issaquah Transit Station.

Drive time:  Issaquah to trailhead is 2.0 hrs. 

Required Pass: Northwest Forest Pass

This is an 9.6 mile "out and back" hike. We'll start at 5,800' hike down to 4,600'. Have lunch by Tronsen Ridge Peak then hike back up to the trailhead.  

This is a ridge hike. Thus, there'll be little water. Alan will be carrying 2 liters. Trail reports from this time last year state roads and trail in good condition with no snow.
