CHS 1 Hike - Surprise Lake & Mountain

An ALTERNATIVE to the North Cascades Campout. 

Could be cancelled due to smoke.  It's also August so it could be warm(er).  Bring bug net/protection as  needed.  We will hike along a river and lunch at lakes before we swim.   I'll bring a filter for extra water and we'll go slow.  

Meet 7:00 AM Monroe Park and Ride Bay 1  17433 US-2 Monroe WA.  Travel about 46 miles eastbound on US 2 to an unmarked right turn past the Iron Goat Interpretive Site.   Bring your swim suites. Great post-hike meals options along US 2 or in Monroe.
