This 8.5 mile hike to Oyster Dome will start from the eastern Lily Lake Trail Head rather than from Chuckanut Drive/ Hwy 11 to avoid the crowds.

The trail climbs steadily along Blanchard Mountain through beautiful forest to Lily Lake. From here we will follow the Lily Lake Trail to the Samish Bay Connector and Oyster Dome Trail up to Oyster Dome. The Oyster Dome Trail is steep and rooty and hiking poles are highly recommended especially for the decent. The "dome" is a large outcropping of rock on the side of Blanchard Mountain that provides great views out to Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. We'll return via Max's Shortcut and Lily Lake Trail.

Additional details will be provided in email to participants.
