CHS 1 Hike - Navaho Pass

Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series

CHS 1 Hike - Navaho Pass

The trail follows Stafford Creek before becoming steeper, switchbacking up to the upper meadows beneath Navaho Pass. CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph).

  • Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 12.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,000 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2.0 mph

We'll get an early start to be sure we get parking at the trailhead and to  enable us to reach the Pass before the hottest part of the day. Meet at 6:00 am at Tibbetts Valley Park parking lot in Issaquah.

This is a popular hike in the Teanaway area with amazing views.  As WTA says,
"Rife with wildflowers, fascinating geology, and just enough elevation gain to keep it interesting, this hike has just about everything that the Teanaway is known for." Dinner after the hike at Cottage Cafe in Cle Elum.
