We will meet in North Bend in the Safeway parking lot at 7:00 AM to car pool up for the trip to the trailhead. If possible, carpooling to the meeting location is encouraged too. When making your transportation plans consider the optional refreshment/dinner stop planned for the return trip. The leader will send additional details upon the close of registration.
Warm up with a trip up the Ira Spring trail to Mason Lake. Then onward and upward to some of the best views in the I-90 corridor. We will get an early start to avoid some of the crowd at the trailhead and try to beat as much of the mid-day heat as possible. The route is on mostly very good trails except for the last bit between the main trail and the summit which is a bit of a scramble. Nothing scary, but far from effortless!
