This is a long day. Do not make any plans for after the hike.

Participants will arrange carpools from where they live. We have made reservations for the 7:30 am ferry from Anacortes to Orcas Island for three vehicles. You should bring money to pay for your fare plus a portion of the vehicle fare. Last year this was just under $30 each. Our carloads must be through the toll booth, where you pay your fares at least 30 minutes before sailing. We will need to factor in that there is a major construction project at the Sharpes Corner intersection on Highway 20 working 24/7.

the ferry ride is about 45 minutes. Once on Orcas we have a short drive to Moran State Park. Drivers need to have a Discover Pass.
