CHS 1 Hike - Grand Valley & Moose Lake

Hike to a sparkling necklace of alpine lakes in a mile high valley beneath majestic peaks, encountering scads of wildflowers, bold stands of old-growth forest, stark alpine tundra, deer, and marmots along the way! CHS 1 hike led at a pace of 1.5-2.0 mph.

We will meet 8:15 a.m. at the Olympic National Park Visitor Center parking lot, 3002 Mt. Angeles Rd, Port Angeles where we will assemble into carpools and drive to the Obstruction Point Trailhead.  Recommended ferries are the 6:10 a.m. Seattle/Bainbridge or the 5:35 a.m. Edmonds/ Kingston.

This is one of the 100 Classic Hikes of Washington.  Expect this to be a long day.  Do not plan any events for the evening.
